Wolfe Air Demo Reel
I'm not familiar with Wolfe Air, but they appear to be an aviation imaging company, and if this clip is an example of their work, they do good stuff.
1975 Airliner Evacuation from DaNang
Putting the history and politics aside (which is not easy to do), watch this report and see the aviation issues with this desperate flight. (This report is notable today because the reporter just passed away.
Clever coffee freshness indicator
(Aug 25, 2013) Boing Boing's Xeni Jardin tells us about this clever, simple hack to show when the coffee was last brewed. Seen at the FBO she was visiting.
(Xeni was hanging in a pilot's lounge cause her boyfriend is the studly, science guy, and Cirrus owner, Miles Obrien. We're pleased that she educated folks about some GA concepts with links to the Wikipedia pages, but kinda sad that she had to.)
Paul H. Poberezny 1921 - 2013
Aug. 22, 2013 -- I'm so sad to tell you that Paul Poberezny, the Founder of the Experimental Aircraft Association, has died at the age of 91.
It's the Oshkosh Irregulars
Here's a cool little piece from eaa.org website about a group of AirVenture attendees who camp together each year.

Airplanista "Podcaster of the Year"
I'm so pleased to announce that, Wednesday evening, I was selected as the Airplanista's Aviation "Podcaster of the Year".
I couldn't be prouder of this award.
A few thank you's.
Thank you to my podcasting co-hosts, and dear friends, Dave Higdon and Jeb Burnside. I'm not sure why, but 7 years ago they humored me and my idea of starting this new thing called a podcast. I couldn't have done it without them.
Thank you to everyone who voted for me. Dan didn't reveal the absolute numbers but I get the feeling they were big. And I'd thank each and every one of you if I could.
Last but not least, thank you to everyone who has listened to Uncontrolled Airspace over the years. One of the most pleasant surprises in doing the podcast has been having the chance to meet so many of you. In person at the airshows, at the meetups, and online. Thank you, and please stay in touch.
Thanks to you all, and, WOO HOO!
